Delhi Postal Circle is responsible for the maintenance, development and qualitative improvement of the postal service in Delhi which is one of the major metropolitan cities of India. there has been a tremendous growth of population, mostly floating, over the last few years. Average area and population served per Post Office in the circle is 1.23 km. and 17722 persons in urban areas and 8.65 sq km. and 9214 persons in rural areas respectively.
